Brooklyn, New York’s Laura Stevenson and the Cans made their Las Vegas debut at the Bunkhouse Saloon on March 27th to a small-but-adoring Tuesday night crowd. As soon as Laura crooned the first note of the set there were audible “wow”s from lingering barflies who were quite intoxicated, but no less correct in their evaluation of the talent.

This was without a doubt, one of the most stunning vocal performances I’ve ever seen, and it was almost unreal to hear that kind of ability live. The Cans were equally impressive, beautifully showcasing instruments like the accordion and glockenspiel, which we don’t get to see very often while covering punk shows.

If you missed them, be sure to check out the Stripped Down Sessions we filmed with Laura at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. There is a prominently featured Triceratops.
