Break-ups: The Mad Caps

We’re sad to report that rock n roll duo The Mad Caps, who originated in Las Vegas before relocating to Seattle in 2011, has decided to part ways.

A message posted today on their Facebook page by guitarist/vocalist Ted Rader reads:

THE MAD CAPS ARE NO MORE

I’m sad to announce that The Mad Caps have come to an end.
There is absolutely no bad blood between the two of us. Jonny is my brother and best friend, and we love each other madly (no pun intended) But its time to bring this thing to an end and move on in different paths.

Jonny will continue to pursue his PhD here in Seattle, and I will be moving to Portland next month to start work on a new band.

It truly breaks my heart to announce this, but I’m happy to know that we’re both following what we love and support the hell out of one another.

Thank you everyone for your years of love and support! I can’t express how much it has meant to the two of us and how many memories you’ve made.

Our last show will be July 2nd at Lofi (SEA).
I hope to see you all there.

Stay tuned for the future,
Love…yours,
TED

We wish Jon and Ted the best of luck in future projects!
