As you may have noticed, we here at Punks in Vegas have a feature called the Vegas Archive. Our goal with the archive is to help document the history of the Las Vegas underground through shared music, stories, photos, flyers, etc. The Vegas Archive in not strictly limited to punk and hardcore, and in particular, we are mainly focusing on those bands that existed before the internet age.
For example, we’re looking for anything and everything from 80‘s punk like F.S.P. and Schizoid, to early 90’s bands like Fried Green and The Reform, and late 90‘s groups like Attaboy Skip and Dwarf Bitch. More simply put, if it is underground music with origins in Las Vegas, we are more than likely interested.
The problem is this: we can’t tell your band’s story for you. So if you would like to participate in the Vegas Archive project at Punks In Vegas, please contact us via our contact page. We can certainly help you organize and streamline your contributions, which should include all of the following for a quality archive entry:
- Your band’s music (preferably in digital format)
- Complete artwork for any demos, EP’s, albums, etc.
- A written narrative and/or anecdotes regarding the history of your band
- Photos (live or otherwise)
- Flyers
- Anything else you think may be important regarding the history of your band
