Caravels recording split with Gifts from Enola, re-issue “Floorboards”

Local hardcore band Caravels has a lot to be excited about.

They will soon be entering Earthling Studios to record their side of a split with Harrisonburg Virginia’s post-rockers Gifts from Enola. The split is going to be released through a partnership between the two band’s labels, Topshelf and The Mylene Sheath, respectively. No official release date has been announced as of yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

The band is also gearing up for a re-release of their 2010 self-released Floorboards EP, which is being remastered and released by Topshelf Records. It will be available August 23 on vinyl and will also include the band’s 2008 The Earthling Sessions EP. You can see the cover for the re-release here:

You can catch Caravels live with We Were Skeletons, Lester Freamon, Residuals, and Caution Children July 26 at Yayo Taco.
