Franks and Deans release “The Lady Is A Tramp” video, announce album release show

Local punk rock Rat Pack cover band and embodiment of the Las Vegas spirit Franks and Deans has released a Ryan Reason and Steve Fodor directed video for “The Lady is a Tramp,” a song originally from 1937 Rodgers and Hart musical Babes in Arms and given new life in the 1950s via a cover by Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald. (And here’s hoping a few kids get turned on to the band’s shenanigans while YouTubing that similarly titled movie where two dogs kiss).

The Franks and Deans version comes courtesy of their debut album How Did You All Get In My Room, which will be released this October through SquidHat Records. The band has a release show set for October 31 at the Double Down Saloon, a show that also features Mercy Music, Vegascendents, Rex Dart and Otis Day of Animal House fame because, hey, why not? (Yes, the release show is a toga party).

And if you can’t wait until October 31 to see the band live, you can catch them at their standing gig Wednesdays at the Double Down.
