Mainstream-by-way-of-indie festival (think The O.C. season 2 soundtrack) Life is Beautiful is set to return for another year in downtown Vegas, this time expanding to three days. And once again, a number of shows and festivals have cropped up to compete, compliment, or offer a fun alternative for those not able or interested in shelling out $105-$250 for Foo Fighters, Outkast and more.
Later! Louder!
First up, Southern Wine & Spirits will be putting on a three day event at Backstage Bar & Billiards called “Later! Louder!” Proceeds benefit Keep Memory Alive, which exclusively supports the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. Shows start at 11 p.m., and are $20 each. Check out the lineup:

Life is Shit Festival
On Saturday, October 25th, The Dive will host the second annual Life is Shit Festival. This year’s lineup features Lenguas Largas, Face Man, White Mystery, Timmy’s Organism, The Rebel Set, FIM, Saustro and the fruity loops, Puget Noise, Leather Duchess, DANGERBONER, Illicitor, Same Sex Mary, Jack Evan Johnson, Bogtrotter’s Union, Headwinds, Bounty Hunter Brothers, Cirka: Sik, Stagnetti’s Cock and Swamp Pussy.
Life is Shit will also be collecting donated goods and services for a charity raffle, once again benefiting Girls Rock Vegas. According to event organizers, “music, clothing, art, jewelry, food, tattoos, taxidermy, inflatable beer bottles, old guitars, new guitars, cat food … anything and everything that might be of value to someone with a couple bucks in their pocket, we want it.” Email lifeisshitfestival@gmail.com to donate raffle items.
Vegas is Beautiful Festival

Like Life is Shit, Vegas is Beautiful is focused on home-grown talent and features Alexanders Architects, The Midnight Disease, Fishing Season, Tarah Grace, Luna Flore, Leaving Springfield, The Psyatics, Black Masses, The Laissez Fairs, and more.
7 Seconds
On Sunday, October 26, punk legends 7 Seconds will be headlining a show at The Dive that also features locals Guilty by Association, S.F.T, Lambs To Lions and Sector 7G. Tickets to that 21+ show start at $12 and you can get more details on Facebook.
Anchors
Also playing in Vegas the weekend of Life is Beautiful is Australian punks Anchors. They share a bill at The Artistic Armory with locals TheCore. and War Called Home, the latter of which will be releasing their new EP at the show (Heartsounds were originally on the bill but had to drop due to work commitment)s. This is an all-ages show and tickets are just $5.
