The Quitters release “Future” music video, countdown their favorite fictional futures

The Quitters have released a music video (directed by Shahab Zargari) for their song “Future.” The song comes from the band’s EP Troubled Minds, which was actually released in the recent past.

To celebrate the video’s release, we asked The Quitters about their favorite fictional futures:

1. Mad Max: Fury Road
This futurescape seems very believable as a next step in our human story. The desolation, carnage, and thrust of the civilization leftover after catastrophic events occurred is beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

2. Idiocracy
Again, a chilling representation of a realistic future, although we don’t think it’s going to take as long as 500 years to get to that level of stupidity, unfortunately.

3. Starship Troopers
This one is just dumb fun. An intergalactic war between man and giant bug?! Sign us up! They’re not much to look at once you scrape them off your boot.

Fans looking to catch The Quitters live won’t have to wait long. The band is part of a November 30 fundraiser and memorial for “Local Show” Joe Sacco, who sadly passed away earlier this month. Details for that show can be found on Facebook.
