SquidHat Records launches sub-imprint “SquidProQuo,” signs The Heiz

Vegas-based punk rock label SquidHat Records has announced plans to expand their roster outside of our fair city with the creation of the “SquidProQuo” imprint.

According to SquidHat/SquidPro founder Allan Carter: “SquidHat Records is and will always be a Las Vegas label for Las Vegas bands. SquidProQuo allows us to stay true to that mission while expanding our horizons and allowing us to look for talent from other states and other countries. SquidProQuo will focus exclusively on international and non-Las Vegas artists, but our mission remains the same: bring the best music to the most people …any way we can.”

The imprint’s first release comes from The Heiz, a three piece rock and roll band from all the way over in Tokyo, Japan. “The Heiz play Vegas so often,” explains Carter, “that they were a natural fit to launch this project and we are thrilled to have them in the family.” Look for their vinyl debut on Nov. 20, with a release show taking place at the Double Down on Nov. 21.
