We liked Special K frontman Aldred Basiga immediately upon meeting him, when he did something almost no Stripped Down Session participant ever does – he arrived early! He also nailed his Pavement meets Dinosaur Jr-inspired tunes in just one take each.
Special K’s full length, I Can’t Hear You : Early Tracks and Remnants, is available now on Bandcamp. It’s $5 for 20 tracks, which is roughly a quarter a song (and worth every penny).
Fans looking to catch the band live won’t have to wait long – they have a show booked this Friday, April 1, at 11th Street records with The Rich Hands and Mauve.
