Against Me! has always had a knack for great covers. I’m a big fan of their renditions of songs by Old Crow Medicine Show, The Replacements and The Clash and on their latest tour they decided to cover Australian musician Rowland S. Howard’s “Shivers.” Howard, a member of The Boys Next Door/The Birthday Party with Nick Cave, penned the song when he was just 16 years old and it remained his signature song until his untimely death in 2009. We’ll have more expansive coverage of the band’s show later this week but for now, take a look at the cover, performed live at Brooklyn Bowl Vegas.
