Oranges sign to Blue Swan Records, announce ‘Taxonomy’

The boys in Oranges must be feeling pretty peachy, as the local progressive band has announced that they’ve signed with Blue Swan Records (and as we all know, blue + orange equals… sorta grey). The label, owned by Dance Gavin Dance guitarist Will Swan and home of locals Stolas, will release the band’s Taxonomy full length on Sept. 22.

According to a post by the band on Facebook:

YOOOOOO SIQQ NEWS!

We’re real excited to announce that we’re signing with Blue Swan Records and releasing our album Taxonomy with them! To those of you who have been patiently waiting, thanks for stickin’ around.

With that said, the release date of Taxonomy is officially set for September 22nd. Pre-order info will be available on August 18th, along with our first single.

Fans in Vegas will get a chance to see the band live shortly after the album’s release on Sept. 25 at the Zarfest Fairgrounds, supporting Alaska at their tour kickoff show with My Iron Lung. Details for that gig can also be found on Facebook.
