Last Call’s January 2nd show at Eastside Joe’s was bittersweet. The turnout was great, with a stacked lineup also featuring Forever Came Calling, Stickup Kid, The Letter You and Snakebite, but it also marked the announcement that Last Call guitarist Tim Desagun is leaving the band. While we’re very sad to see him go, we were happy to see them balance the goodbyes with the introduction of a new song “Live Together Die Alone” which, if it’s any indication of what their next release might sound like, we’re in for a treat.

Forever Came Calling enjoyed a much larger crowd than the last time they played Vegas on Thanksgiving Eve, showing that hard work and their excellent recently released split with Handguns is paying off. FCC’s fellow Californians and touring buddies Stickup Kid didn’t disappoint, with fans crammed right up front to sing along with every word. Local pop punkers The Letter You and hardcore band Snakebite may have very different sounds, but both exploded with floor-jumping energy all the same. I’ve enjoyed seeing The Letter You in the past, but this was definitely the best I’ve seen them, and I’m excited to see what they’ll be doing this year.
