Show Updates: Week of May 16

Welcome to another new Punks in Vegas feature, the weekly show wrap up. Every weekend there will be a post like this one listing all the events that were added to the shows page during that week, so no one misses out on anything awesome. Be sure to check out that section of the website often for a full list of shows, and please contact us if you know of a show that is not listed. I also want to take this opportunity to give a shout out to ONETHIRYEIGHT.ORG, who linked back to our Deadhand featured music. Gilbert’s got reviews, photos, hilarious band and show musings, and there is 100% more sports talk, so I feel like if I don’t say something I’ll end up on the receiving end of a swirly. So if you haven't already, check out that site. I also ...

Alkaline Trio Celebrate 15 Years With Tour, Album

Never strangers to Vegas, Alkaline Trio make their return to our city on July 22 at the Hard Rock Café. Smoking Popes and Dead Country are opening. The tour, which finds the band playing their most intimate Vegas show in almost a decade, is both in support of Damnesia, an unplugged album featuring "12 new/old songs - 2 new/new songs and a sweet cover!," which will be available July 12 on Epitaph/Heart & Skull Records, and to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of guitarist/co-vocalist Matt Skiba starting the band. According to bassist/co-vocalist Dan Andriano: “We’re looking forward to our 15th anniversary tour this summer. We’re going to really try to put together a set that encompasses everything the band has done over the past 15 years and plan to play some songs that rarely find their way in to the set list. We ...

Firstly to allow ourselves and others to keep track of dates and cities we are trying to book, or may have already confirmed. Also to try and build some dialog between you guys and us about the shows, possibly setting one up in your area, or really what ever kind of random stuff you would want to tell us! Please feel free to leave a question or comment on this page. We will try to keep it updated as we confirm further venues and bands. Manscout Jamboree Tour Experiences More Changes

The Manscout Jamboree tour, headlined by The Wonder Years and featuring Make Do and Mend and Living With Lions, rolls into town Friday, April 22 at Vamp’d. The Show was originally scheduled to take place at Area 702 Skatepark, but a shooting outside of the music venue and general hangout spot caused the show to be relocated to Count Cool Rider’s Vamp’d. (Yes, THAT Count Cool Rider). Unfortunately, venue changes aren’t the only setbacks facing the Manscout Jamboree Tour, which was also scheduled to include Such Gold and Fireworks. First, an injury to a bandmate caused openers Such Gold to drop off the tour. Then, co-headliners Fireworks had to cancel a number of dates due to a death in the family. The hearts of everyone at Punks in Vegas go out to the members of Fireworks. Filling ...
