I've been a fan of Lucero for many years now so I was more than a little thrilled when frontman Ben Nichols and accordion player Rick Steff agreed to film a Stripped Down Session with us. We met up in the alley behind the Beauty Bar and braved the smell of hot garbage for wonderful renditions of "When You Decided To Leave" from their 2003 LP That Much Further West and "Who You Waiting On?" from the band's recently release Women and Work LP and I have to say, I love how they sound in the stripped down format. ...

I've been a fan of Santa Cruz, CA punk rockers Swingin' Utters since picking up the Fat Wreck Chords’ Physical Fatness comp during my Freshman year of high school. A little over ten years later, I'm proud to have worked with them on these Stripped Down Sessions, filmed behind the Bunkhouse Saloon before their June 15th show.
