A million “thank you’s” go out to everyone who came out Friday night to celebrate the PunksInVegas 10 year anniversary.  We truly partied in a way that Emily would be proud of.  In addition to the music, there was lots of crying, laughing, and dancing. In keeping up with PIV tradition, this show was all-ages and we were so glad to see all those kids! This was also a free show! But with your love and support we raised two thousand dollars for Gender Justice Nevada.

We had so much fun, thanks for the memories

None of this would have been possible without the help of so many amazing people.

So, get ready, this is going to be a really long list:

First we’d like to thank Jesse Pino for starting the night out with a stellar acoustic set and for playing countless shows over the years.

Rayner, we’re all so happy that you played this show. If you missed it, you’ll probably never get another chance to hear “Snow Miser” in October ever again. And I don’t think anyone will ever forget your cover of “Punks in Vegas”, which made everyone cry.

Brock Frabbiele for always being PunksInVegas’ biggest supporter. It’s never been more true, “we’ve lost good people along the way”.

Mercy Music, Emily had so much faith in your career, we all know that our Vegas secret is about to explode onto the rest of the world.

Holding onto Sound, we are so honored that you reunited to play this show. And the crowd agreed, HOTS is still everyone’s favorite local band.  Also, Micah, you killed it.

Aaron Bautista you were essential in the planning and implementation of this show. Thanks for staffing and fixing all of the last minute problems. American Legion, thanks for having us.

Thanks to Emily’s nephew, Nicholas, who ran our merch table! T-shirts are sold out! Thanks to TJ and Jesse at Cotton Mafia for donating the shirts; Sal and Revive Vegas for the stickers; Nick Bones for the logo design; and Andy for the show flyer.

To everyone who showed up from the Library. Your presence means the world.

Over the last ten years, PunksInVegas has had unwavering support from so many awesome people in the community.  We’d like to thank: Evel Pie, Ron and 11th Street Records, Ralph and Alternate Reality, ReBar, Beauty Bar (RIP), GC Records, Asteroid M, Cody, Scott Corporal, Andy Harrison and Empire 13, Leslie Hernandez, Leslie Valdez, Sam and Jordan, Dany and Shea, Jenna and Carolina, Rory and Amanda, Julia, Mayra, and Kelly.

In honor of Emily and LGBTQIA+ month, Yukon Pizza will be donating $1 from every “Pepps in Vegas” for the month of October to Gender Justice. Go see them at the Test Kitchen!

To all the bands and artists we’ve shot with over the years, you rock. To the labels, publicists, promoters, and venues that have put us on shows, we appreciate you. To all of our writers and photographers, and anyone else that ever carried equipment or picked someone up from the airport, we love you.  To everyone else who ever supported PIV, who came out to a show, or read a review, or talked about us in another city, we wouldn’t be here without you.

Aaron Mattern, thanks for taking over without any hesitation. You, Julien, Hunter, Ian, Tyler, Dugan, Jonas, and Chris are keeping PunksInVegas alive.

But mostly, thank you Emily. Your passion and devotion created something so much bigger than one single person. You have given us a community filled with more love and support than we could ever imagine. Wish you were here.

See you in the pit!
