Microphone problems weren’t enough to quell the excitement at Yayo Taco Saturday night.

When a damaged microphone cord threatened to end Touché Amoré’s set before it even began, a fan stepped in and raced out to get a new one. The late start only worked to build anticipation, and from the first notes of the first song fans were leaping off tables and screaming along to every word.

Ruined Tongue’s set, unfortunately, was cut short due to their own microphone issues. The hardcore band went on to end their short but sweet set with vocalist Eric Larsh and the crowd shouting the words at a level that needed no mic.

Punk Rockers Permanent Failure and hardcore band Nothing Gold, this being their last outing with vocalist Moh, opened the show and succeeded at giving those who arrived early a good time.
