Shawn Stern, co-founder of BYO Records and Youth Brigade, answered a fan question on Facebook today that confirms NOFX and Youth Brigade will NOT be playing during this year’s festival. Last year NOFX headlined the festival’s first of three nights, while Youth Brigade played an earlier slot.
While fans of the aforementioned bands may feel some disappointment from this news, Stern also revealed that about 60 DIFFERENT bands will be playing the festival throughout the weekend, ten more than the original 50 band announcement found on the Punk Rock Bowling website. Subtracting the officially announced bands leaves about 36 more bands to be revealed in the coming weeks, more than enough to excite any punk rock fan.
