Our featured music this week comes from Gainesville, FL’s Spanish Gamble. The song is called “Science Can’t Explain Magic,” and it’s from one of my favorite albums of 2010 It’s All Coming Down, released on Paper + Plastick. The band plays a style of gritty pop-punk that is in the same vein as Off With Their Heads and Dear Landlord, with a healthy dose of Hot Water Music influence mixed in for good measure.
The band is playing a Punk Rock Bowling late show on May 29th with Tiltwheel, Off With Their Heads, and TheCore. at the Bunkhouse. Online sales are over, but tickets for this show can still be purchased at the door.
