January 14th is looking to be a pretty fantastic day here in Vegas. It’s my birthday, The Sheds, Heart to Heart and Currents are coming to town for a show at The Aruba Hotel and two very different local bands are releasing EPs.
The local wunderkinds in the three-piece alternative band Next Generation Rising are celebrating the release of their new EP with an all-ages show at the House of Blues with Play for Keeps, The Letter You, Rockets Incorporated, Rivalries, Midnight Drop and The Vizn. Tickets to the show are $12, and they’re giving out the EP for the low, low price of $0.
Also having a CD release party that day is local hardcore band S.F.T (Shitfaced Tattoos). If you’re interested in picking up a copy of their EP, stop by their free show at the Motor City Cafe with The Vegascendents, Break the Cycle and Spotted Dick and the Love Stew.
