Images: Big D and the Kids Table, Left Alone, The Maxies, Not For Sale April 7, 2022 The Space

First band to start off the show was Vegas’ own Not For Sale.  They’re made up of several members from other bands in town including Asteroid-M owner  Cody Leavitt, and Anti-Vision’s Robbie Malvin.  They had great energy, combining ska/reggae elements into their punks songs. Behind them during the full set, a video looped superimposing their logo over black and white Hellcat Records-esque POV footage driving down the streets of Vegas.  Maybe they only prepared it for The Space… but it was quite effective at sharing the band’s name and giving them a great backdrop.  They definitely got everyone started for a good night. Next up was “Greenland’s” The Maxies.  I’ve always enjoyed seeing the Maxies.  They’re always so energetic as they play their silly Ramones-core songs. Beabadoobee is playing in Las Vegas at 24 Oxford on April 18th.  Our photographer Christopher Mounts wrote about what he hopes to hear.   The 5 Songs I Hope I Hear at the beabadoobee Show  1. Apple Cider This was the first song by beabadoobee that I had ever heard. I don’t remember how exactly I heard it, but I remember it being stuck in my head for days. It’s one of those songs that I’ll restart before it even finishes. 2. Worth It I can’t seem to get my car stereo loud enough when this song comes on. It would fit perfectly in a coming of age movie soundtrack and I don’t know how to explain it any better than that. 3. Yoshimi, Forest, Magdalene What an album closer, seriously. Mercy Music covered by MxPx, Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Zebrahead
