With the 2014 edition of the Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival inching ever so close, there are still more announcements coming our way. First, the lineup for the annual pool parties have been announced and include pop punk veterans The Queers, stripped down performances by Jesse Wagner (Aggrolites) and Vic Riggiero (Slackers) and supergroup The Pool Boys, which counts amongst its ranks Stephen Egerton of Descendents and Blag of The Dwarves. Pool parties take place May 24 – May 26 at the Plaza and Golden Nugget, and you check out all the details below.
Also announced is “Punk Rock Movie Matinees,” a new element of Punk Rock Bowling that will take place May 24 – May 26 at Backstage Bar and Billiards. Among the films being shown is “Filmage: The Story of Descendents/ALL,” which was filmed partially during Punk Rock Bowling 2011, so you might just see yourself on the big screen. While some of you may argue that getting to the venue early enough to make it into one of these events counts as cruel and unusual punishment after a night of music and partying, I instead think of it as a challenge – to just go ahead and abstain from sleep for the entire weekend in order to soak in every last punk rock morsel.
