Punks in Vegas founder Emily Matview announces photo exhibition “Explosion of Silence,” starting September 17 at the Whitney Library Gallery

Punks in Vegas founder Emily Matview will be celebrating nine years of taking photos of the Las Vegas music scene with a photography exhibit! Save yourself a click and see photos from PunksInVegas.com in person from September 17 – November 17 at the Whitney Library, located near Sam’s Town on 5175 E Tropicana Ave. 89122.

There may be no shows happening right now (*cries*) but music fans can relive past concerts like Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! at Beauty Bar for Punk Rock Bowling or The Story So Far at Eagle Aerie Hall via this exhibit! Most photos on display will be available to purchase, so if you’ve always wanted a framed photo of Sal Giordano to hang up at work, or one of Gerard Way to snuggle with while binging the new season of Umbrella Academy, this is your chance!

Other bands featured include Jeff Rosenstock, Mercy Music, blink-182, Illicitor, Tigers Jaw, Matt and Kim, Touche Amore,  Masked Intruder, Rise Against, Kid Meets Cougar, Kat Kalling, Tiny Stills, Rayner, Lawrence Arms, Off With Their Heads, Bayside, Andrew WK, The Chinkees, Fall Out Boy and Be Like Max. You can even experience the Warped Tour without the strain on your back from standing on the asphalt all day via a photo of The Wonder Years!

Emily Matview: Explosion of Silence is FREE to view and will be open to the public during regular library hours.
