Saosin, The Story So Far, Mayday Parade, Bayside and more announced for Extreme Thing 2016 (updated)

Last year saw Vegas music fest staple Extreme Thing go on hiatus, marking the first year without the festival since its inception in 2001.

But fans of the festival can now breathe easy, since not only have dates been announced for the 2016 iteration, but so has the first set of bands.

Announced so far is Saosin w/Anthony Green, The Story So Far, Mayday Parade, Bayside, Dance Gavin Dance, Death by Stereo, Blessthefall, The Maine, Chelsea Grin, Escape the Fate, State Champs, New Year’s Day, Secrets, Carnifex. Defeater, The Color Morale, Set it Off, Better Off, Be Like Max, Jedi Mind Tricks, Violent New Breed and From Ashes to New.

More bands are set to be announced and to be among the first to know these additional bands, text “EXTREMETHING” to 41411 to download the mobile app for Extreme Thing Twenty Sixteen.

The new edition of Extreme Thing will once again take place at Desert Breeze Park, this time starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016. For more information on the festival and to purchase tickets, visit the Extreme Thing website.

Local bands looking to join in on the fun are in luck – Extreme Thing is taking submissions via their “Battle of the Fans” competition.  Details for how to enter can also be found on the Extreme Thing website.
