Normally when I first get into a band it takes years – if ever – for them to play Vegas. Thankfully that wasn’t the case with Brooklyn’s Proper. Their 2019 album I Spent the Winter Writing Songs About Getting Better is one of the year’s best, so I was excited that they scheduled a show down the street from my apartment. Singer/guitarist Erik Garlington stopped by before the show to play two songs from the album.
