Tour: Distinguisher hit the Midwest, release new song

Vegas metal band Distinguisher is getting ready to go on the road, hitting the Midwest for the first time.

The tour comes during a break in the band’s writing process, a process that has brought new single “Ruin.” Fans of heavy music will hear some familiar influences, but as the band tells us, they are putting their own spin on things:

“Influences for the new album would be The Plot In You, Sylar, Architects, Fit For A King and The Acacia Strain. But we promise that what we’re creating will be hard to compare to anything heard before. It will be a fresh, re-defined sound for the genre of heavy music as a whole. We recorded the song with our guitarist Josh Bearden at Nevermore Audio. We were confident in our ability to do this one with ourselves, at least until it’s time for the full album.”
