I’ve long been a big fan of I am the Avalanche’s Vinnie Caruana, discovering him first as the frontman for early 2000s melodic hardcore band The Movielife. While most are used to the shouts and high energy that come with seeing him on stage fronting a full band, he also shows immense talent seated calmly behind an acoustic guitar, which is something you can witness on this year’s Warped Tour inside the Acoustic Basement tent. On the Vegas date, we stepped into the shade of the tent to film one of his stripped down songs – “Hey,” which originally appeared on The Movielife’s 40 Hour Train Back to Penn.
