Brock Frabbiele – TheCore. co-frontman, solo acoustic artist, bartender, champion beard grower, graphic artist and generally cool dude – has been announced as a finalist in The 97.1 The Point’s “Juke Box Hero” contest to open for Foreigner and Styx (both bands making their surprising Punks in Vegas debut with this post).
Here’s what Frabbiele has to say:
97.1 The Point is having a contest For Solo Acoustic acts… Since it would pretty much be the coolest time of my life to win a chance to open for two legendary rock bands. I would live in remorse if I didn’t throw my hat in the ring.
We want to see this friend of PIV up on the big Orlean’s Arena stage and you can help! Head over to The Point’s website and cast your vote for Brock. Then, share the link on your social media site of choice and gently pester everyone you know until they also cast their vote. Finally, play some Frabbiele for your dad and teach him how to cast his vote, as he likely already has tickets and you want him to have fun, right?
Voting will end at midnight PST on Sunday, July 20th and the winner will be announced Monday morning on the Foxx and MacKenzie show. I haven’t listened to their show, but if they’re as wacky as the morning DJs of my youth, we can expect the winner’s name will be announced in conjunction with a soundboard “fart” effect (and, of course, cheers from us).
