Mercy Music sign to Hardline Entertainment, are basically killing it

We woke up to some very exciting news in our inbox (aside from the usual promise of penis enlargement and something called “Trump’s Brain Pills”). Local punk rock and rollers Mercy Music have signed to Hardline Entertainment, joining the likes of Pennywise, Authority Zero, Death by Stereo, Versus the World and their recent tour mate Yotam Ben Horin.

Regular readers of Punks in Vegas will know that we kind of have a big ol’ music crush on Mercy Music, and we’re not alone. Nothing makes us prouder of our city than watching the faces of the uninitiated at Mercy Music shows, as jaws drop to the floor during Brendan Scholz’ guitar solos, or Jarred Cooper’s acrobatic stage antics, or Rye Martin’s blistering pace on the drums – all while playing some of the tightest, catchiest, smartest tunes we’ve ever heard.

Haven’t heard them because you’re Brie Larson from that movie Room? Or that other lady that looks like Brie Larson that’s trapped in a bomb shelter with John Goodman in 10 Cloverfield Lane? Check out When I Die, I’m Taking You With Me on iTunes and congratulate the guys in person March 25 at 11th Street Records with No Red Alice, Lawn Mower Death Riders, Uvluv, and Barbaloot Suitz.
