Music: Devon Kay & the Solutions “W.W.B.C.D.”

People live by many different philosophies, but perhaps the most effective guide for human behavior is “What would Bruce Campbell do?” Possibly deny Peter Parker entrance into a theatre for being a few minutes late? Maybe chop up some demons while spouting witty one-liners? Surely he’d kiss the girl and, um… voice a car in Cars 2?

Chicago pop punk band Devon Kay & the Solutions might not have the answer, but they are brave enough to pose the question in the title to their new single W.W.B.C.D., which is this week’s Punks in Vegas Featured Music. The song is 3 minutes of raw emotion and poppy punk glory in the tradition of The Ergs! and The Descendents, combining a catchy hook with a tale of a love lost and moving on.

The track is the first single off the band’s upcoming Never Punt CDEP/digital download, which will be available July 29th on Johann’s Face Records. The initial physical release is limited to 100 numbered copies, so be sure to check out the label’s webstore early on release day so you don’t miss out.

Here’s hoping that Devon Kay & the Solutions (and Kay’s other band, Direct Hit!) will make a stop in Vegas on their next tour.
