Stripped Down Session: Eliza Battle

I first met Eliza Battle frontman Nick Shelton while filming a session with Gunner’s Daughter in 2012. Shelton, a Chicago native, was relatively new to Vegas then, and I knew he had aspirations of playing more music out here. Lo and behold, we now have Eliza Battle, which fans of Lucero and Gaslight Anthem are going to dig.

I met up with Shelton and bandmate Chris Bitonti at The Beat Coffee House and we walked a few blocks until we found this spot to film two songs – “Lucy” and “Cheers to That.”

If you like what you hear, the band has a lot of live shows coming up, including a spot on the mainstage of this year’s Punk Rock Bowling. Head over to their Facebook for more details.
