Holiday Session: Bobby Meader “The Christmas Song”

Welcome to another year of Punks in Vegas Holiday Sessions! We’re starting this year’s festivities with Bobby Meader, the Vegas-based folk singer who we featured on our regular Stripped Down Sessions a few months back.

I met up with the now-beardless musician at Opportunity Village, which was kind enough to offer their beautiful Magical Forest to film this rendition of the 1944 holiday staple “The Christmas Song” (originally performed by The King Cole Trio).

The folks at Opportunity Village always do an amazing job decorating for the season, but they really outdid themselves this year. For those that don’t know, Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people in the Southern Nevada community with intellectual disabilities through vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy, arts and social recreation. Citizens with severe disabilities are able to find new friends,  realize future career paths, seek independence and community integration and unleash creative passions.

A visit to their Magical Forest is a Vegas holiday staple, and we encourage you to check it out.
