Stripped Down Session: Rodeo Ruby Love (two songs)

If you’re a fan of Streetlight Manifesto than you may already be familiar with Pentimento Music Company, the label founded by Streetlight frontman Tomas Kalnoky in 2007. The label has a solid track record, releasing awesome work from the likes of Mu330 frontman Dan Potthast and Kalnoky’s own Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution project. One of label’s best bands is Bloomington, Indiana-based pop rockers Rodeo Ruby Love, and I had the good fortune of meeting up with RRL frontman Zachary Melton before the band’s show at the Hard Rock Live last month to film two Stripped Down Sessions.

Here’s “Made It Marion” and “The Problem,” from this year’s The Pits LP. Special thanks to Melton and Hard Rock Live staff who were kind enough to put up with me as I set up a makeshift studio with milk crate mic stands in the narrow service entrance to the venue.
