One great side effect that has come from me starting this website is that people are constantly turning me on to new, amazing artists that I might not have heard otherwise. Case in point is Rockford IL’s Warren Franklin, who I filmed a Stripped Down Session with while he was on tour with Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate).
I found both his acoustic and full band performances to be excellent – powerful, emotional, and his songs have consistently stuck in my head ever since. This video is a brand new, currently unreleased song titled “Bright Green” and features Gooey Fame from Dowsing on bass and Keith Latinen of Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) on guitar.
