If you’ve been to a show at the Eagle Hall or the Southern Nevada Sports Centre, you’ve probably seen Twin Cities’ Macario Gutierrez sitting behind the soundboard. If you’ve never seen him on stage though, you’re missing out – because his latest project, Twin Cities, is pretty great.
PIV photographer Aaron Mattern and I invited Macario and Twin Cities guitarist Josh Talas over to Aaron’s place to record three Stripped Down Sessions – “Dear Departed,” “Swell Creature” and “Moondance.”
